For shoppers, St. Barth adds another dimension to paradise: Throughout the island, the windows of more than 200 boutiques beckon with jewelry, shoes, and the latest designer fashions straight from Paris. Not only will you discover exclusive bags and watches available only on St. Barth from Chopard, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and others, but, you’ll find pieces that work in New York, Paris, or wherever you call home.
“Our busy guests like to shop on St. Barth because they can find many of the same brands they’re used to purchasing on Faubourg Saint-Honoré and 5th Avenue,” says Stéphane Carou, head concierge at Le Guanahani. “The difference is that when they are on St. Barth, they actually have time to shop.”
In addition to designer shops from Cartier to Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bulgari, here are a few of St. Barth’s most elegant ateliers.
Tucked into a pretty courtyard, this spacious shop is brimming with boho-chic pieces from exclusive labels including Lisa Marie Fernandez, Forte Forte, Jitrois, Tete by Odette, Blumarine, Alexander Wang, MOTHER, See by Chloé, Charo Ruiz, Masscob, Silvia Tcherassi, TCN, and Jérôme Dreyfuss. Make sure to check out the stunning jewelry by Gaskell during your visit.

Like its flagship store in Paris, Montaigne Market fills its shelves with designs from Balenciaga, Balmain, Chloé, Zimmermann, Givenchy, Valentino, and Yves Saint Laurent. Look for one-of-a-kind pieces, like Philip Karto’s funky, hand-painted, vintage Louis Vuitton bags.
Among the luxury Swiss watches and jewelry of Chopard, clients may immediately be drawn to the vibrant green and blue backing of the St. Barth Mille Miglia chronograph. Named for the famous race recreated each year in Italy, only 25 of the collectible St. Barth watches were created, featuring a black rubber band fashioned to replicate Dunlop tire tread from the ‘50s and the brightly colored backing.
“The green represents the lush gardens of St. Barth; the blue the sky,” says Boutique Director Florence Buonanno. “The design also features a scene of the airport with a plane on the runway. It’s a way for people to wear something that will remind them of their favorite place.”
